JC Carpentry & Remodeling
A local remodeling company's new site, built before they even asked.
Context
The Client
JC Carpentry & Remodeling is a residential remodeling and carpentry contractor working across Virginia, United States, the kind of business that lives on referrals and a Google Business Profile.
Challenge
The Problem
No functioning website. Every customer decision, comparing quotes, checking past work, deciding who to trust, happened somewhere Vavinix couldn't influence: a competitor's polished site, a listing app, word of mouth. Skilled craft was losing to better-marketed competitors before the phone even rang.
How we worked
The Approach
Built first, pitched second
instead of a proposal, we shipped a live demo site for the business, unprompted, so the decision wasn't 'trust our pitch' but 'look at what already exists.'
Mobile-first, job-site-first
most searches for a remodeler happen from a phone, often on-site comparing contractors, so speed and thumb-friendly layout came before anything decorative.
Trust over polish
past-project photography, service area, and a short quote-request form were prioritized over long-form copy, matching how homeowners actually decide.
Outcome
The Result
The finished site became the pitch itself, live proof of what Vavinix ships rather than a description of it. It's a Concept Build: unaffiliated with the real business until they choose to claim it, and an honest example of our 'build first' philosophy in practice.
